2005-01-15 [NightHawk]: What? Those are the easiest of the two cases LOL Nominative is used ONLY for subjects and predicate nominatives. In English, we don't say, "I am him," we say "I am he." Same for German. Accusative changes from the Nominative only in the singular masculine gender, from "der" to "den" or "ein" to "einen." Accusitive can be more confusing concerning prepositions. Basically, you use accusative for prepositions whenever the action isnt already done. "Das Buch liegt auf dem Tisch" is Dative, but "Ich stelle das Buch auf den Tisch" is accusative. A little easier?

2005-06-15 [NightHawk]: Heh, ja, Sturmi, das habe ich schon gesagt. Aber in der Schweiz sprechen die meiste Leute Deutsch, obwohl es nicht gleich ist wie in Deutschland. Z.b. hier sagt man "abmachen." Ein Deutscher würde erst verstehen was ich meine, wenn ich sage "(sich) verabreden." Viele wörter sind anders, und die Regeln wegen des Grammatikes sind nicht so streng. Aber Deutsch ist eine Fremdsprache für ihnen, weil sie alle Schweizerdeutssch (oder Schwyzerduutsch) sprechen. Schwyzerduutsch hat gar kei Regel wääge dm Grammatik oder wääge wie mans schriibt. (das wäre meine Schweizerdeutsch) Sieht ihr? LOL

In der Schule habe ich jahrelang mit den gleichen Leuten bei den gleichen Lehrern Englisch gelernt, und trotzdem war ich nachher besser als die meisten >> Ist doch klar das jemand, der sich für die Sprache interessiert und sich auch öfter in der Freizeit damit beschäftigt, viel besser damit klar kommt, als jemand, der das nicht tut ._. Ist ja in jedem Fach eigentlich so gewesen..
Und Deutsch sprechen in Europa nicht nur die Deutschen, sondern auch Österreicher und Schweizer...

2007-04-25 [Sturmi]: tja... man kann nie wissen wann man einer Sprache zu nutze kommen wird. Meine Muttersprache ist Spanisch und ich habe Deutsch in der Schule gelernt. Und ich wohne in Chile (Südamerika). Ihr könnt euch vorstellen, glaube ich, dass nicht viele Leute hier Deutsch sprechen.... doch die Welt sieht jeden Tag kleiner aus, und dafür ist es sehr nützlich andere Sprachen zu kennen.

I got a workbook and I'm on my way to studying and picking up German again. YAYS.... ^__^
